AT WOMEN’S CORNER, WE ARE COMMITTED TO
Helping women attain optimal Sexual & Reproductive health.
Vision
Our Vision is to create a society where women and girls can attain a healthy sexual and reproductive life.
Mission
Our Mission is to implement quality programs that will ultimately guarantee a good sexual and reproductive health for women and girls.
Our programs revolve around 3 pillars of sexual and reproductive health
Maternal health
Maternal health is the health of women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. Each stage should be a positive experience, ensuring women and their babies reach their full potential for health and well-being. According to WHO, Sub-Saharan Africa alone accounts for around 70% of maternal deaths in 2020.
This is why WCI is partnering individuals, organizations, NGOs and the government to enhance maternal health in Nigeria and Africa at large.
Family planning
According to WHO 2017 estimates, 214 million women of reproductive age in developing regions have an unmet need for contraception and Family planning.
Family planning allows people to attain their desired number of children, if any, and to determine the spacing of their pregnancies through the use of contraceptive methods.
Via WCI outreaches, we are teaching women the importance and health benefits of family planning.
Sexual health
The ability of women and girls to achieve sexual Health and well-being depends on their; access to comprehensive, good-quality information about sex and sexuality, knowledge about the risks they may face and their vulnerability to adverse consequences of unprotected sexual activity, and access sexual health care.
WCI approach our programs with the belief that healthy sexual and reproductive life is a must for every woman and girl.
